DELICIOUS CAKE INSIDE

I always say that your cakes must be gorgeous outside but delicious  inside. We make  very nice and  aesthetic cakes   but we should not forget the taste.
Many times the cake stays very dry and hard. We think this is good to have a nice resistant cake to easily decorate it  but we can not present a good job if the interior is not exquisite.
I'll give you some tricks to have cakes that are rich and soft  inside and with the right texture to resist more floors and decoration.

First I show you how to prepare a delicious syrup to soak the cake  before covering and decorating.
Ingredients:
500 g of strawberry halves, without the stem.
300 g of sugar and 250 g of water.
1 dash of lemon.

To prepare the syrup in a saucepan heat the water and sugar, when it is ready (has a slightly denser texture). Chop the strawberries into chunks and place them in the saucepan with the lemon. Let loose the juice strawberries. Heat slow until the juice has left and takes consistency of jam.

Strain the juice, we can save the fruit for decoration or to fill cakes.

If you do not have time to make syrup I recommend to dilute concentrated flavorings. Here I leave a link for you to check out  the aromas of Decora Flavors. They have no artificial colors or preservatives and are very concentrated  but without alcohol.

To make a syrup, use for each part of Aroma Decorate three of water. Keep in the Refrigerator for two weeks. The Decora Flavors can also be used adding some drops directly in your Royal Icing or buttercream.

Now we can proceed to  the cake bathing.
Note: It is important that the cake that we will fill or cover is completely cold.
Place the cake in the base or final dish that we use and begin bathing the cake. With a toothpick or knife point we puncture the cake. And with a spoon or a brush, drop the syrup on top of the cake not more than 3 spoon per level.
It is always important  to leave 1-2 cm without wetting at the border , so that the cake holds its shape and does not crumble when we cover.

I hope you enjoy our first post and keep posted because nice St Valentine cookies ideas are coming!!!

Sweet greetings,

Ana.
